I'm the IT Architect for HR systems at the Christchurch City Council (NZ). We are using SAP ECC HCM and looking into SuccessFactors for some time.
So far the initial investment to get started has been a roadblock for us as the realised value (we are looking for) appears to be in the modules sitting on top of Employee Central as the foundation.
I'd like to understand if for example Recruitment could be implemented first and independently. And if so what trade-offs had to be made at that state. Meaning if the answer is "yes" you can do Recruitment as an individual solution, then you would have to do "x" once you decide to add Employee Central or continue with Talent management at a later stage.
I've been reading a great deal of blog posts in this SCN space but none seem to spell this out nicely.
I'd appreciate if you guys could point me in the right direction.
