I am facing one issue in the Gratuity exemption at the time of separation. Employee joined on 15092005 to the organization and the IT 0000 and 0001 maintained as the joining date of an employee.
We maintained IT 0007 and 0008 details with Dec effective with Basic salary is 2 lac. Employee got separated in the month of Jan, Gratuity amount paid is 12.69 Lac in IT 0015 with the yr of service is 11. We ran payroll only for one month. While running payroll for the month of Jan, exemption is calculating based on ( nominal salary * no of yrs.). But, we require exemption calculation based on the below two condition,
1. Exemption limit
2. Gratuity amount paid.
How to handle this case?
