My third party would like to initiate a new interface where they support plain HTTP. We are planning to exchange XML documents via plain http adapter.
Please guide me the following.
1. For sender HTTP, do i need to generate any certificates/ssl for them to load at their side?
2. Is it safe for me to provide my url directly to them as it is just http only. What is the risk of being exposing PI url? or should i go for any reverse proxy?
3. We will be communicating with them using Port 80 and Port 443. For them to communicate with us, do we need to open similar ports?
I am more concerned about the exposing my PI system url to them via http or is this something common. Please advise.
