I am a non-IT, based in London with 25+ years of work experience in various process manufacturing and engineering design industries. Although they say its never too late, but surely one's grey matter starts to deplete faster beyond 45. So the moot question is whether or not, for a middle aged person of non-IT background, it is advisable and practicable to enter into the world of SAP which is already overflowing its brim with talented (and much more marketable) young sparks. If one does decide to take the plunge, in what capacity and which area should he begin in SAP (is SAP S/4HANA good for a starter ?) so as to fruitfully contribute and continue till retirement, less than 10 years away.
