Activation of Profit Center Accounting (EC-PCA) in live environment

Hello Experts,

I have a requirement from a Manufacturing client to activate CO-PCA in live environment. Client is using CO Production order instead of PP Production order, as they dont have PP module implemented.

My query is that, what areas should be of great concern? What could be the effects of activating it in a live environment?

Any experts suggestion and experience will be of great help.
