Hello,
I created a Joined data source (type: Left Outer Join) using the following data sources:
- Sales Target Plan
- Sales Order Header
Join pair anchor nodes:
- Sales Target (Calendar Year/Month) and sales order (Year Month)
- Sales Target (Sales Territory) and sales order (Sales Territory)
The results are not as expected. Please see attached Excel spreadsheet where I simulated what is happening:
The Sales Order Gross Amount is being correctly accumulated; however, the values for the Targets are duplicated when there are sales orders for the period/territory (i.e., Gross Amount is greater than zero). I tried changing the Data Source Type to “Inner Join”, with no success.
I think that a combined data source would be the solution, however it is not possible to create a combined data sources with the data sources Sales Target Plan and Sales Order Header because they do not belong to the same Access Context.
The main objective is to compare Targets against Real (sales orders).
Is this system behavior correct? If so, is there any other alternative for comparing Targets against sales orders?
In a report (see an attached screen shot showing the problem) I created for this purpose, I tried to create a new key figure in the report and divide the target value by 2 when Gross Amount is greater than zero – that would solve the problem. However, I found no way to do it by using the Boolean connectors in Key Figures.
Does anyone know about an alternative, either by adjusting the data source or finding a way to add a conditional calculation in the report (divide the target value by 2 when Gross Amount is greater than zero)?
Any help on this issue will be very much appreciated.
Thanks and best regards,
Eduardo Mentzingen
