Hi, we are implementing work schedule rules for our part-time and shift employees. Up until now, they were all on the same Mon-Fri, 7.5 hour/day schedule. Part-time employees were paid based on their employment percent on IT0007. With the implementation of the new WSRs, employees will be assigned to work schedules that accurately reflect the days/hours that they work.
I have come up to a complete roadblock (brain meltdown) with our shift employees. These employees work 12 hour shifts (but are paid for 10.75 hours) and their biweekly hours vary - they normalize over 12 weeks. In some cases the employee will work 53.5 hours in a biweekly, in others they might work 86 hours, etc. But, we need to pay them 75 hours each biweekly (unless there is an unpaid absence).
Time eval creates a wage type in the ZL table for their actual hours worked as well as a wage type for their biweekly hours. However, during payroll processing, the actual hours are what ends up being paid. Is there a simple thing that I am missing if I want the employees to be paid based on their biweekly wage type? Or do I have to write a custom rule for this?
Your help, as always, is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Janet
