This document is for the portal administrator to know how to restrict some of the iviews for the users having the role in Enterprise Portal. This will be helpful in most of your business requirement to avoid assigning many roles and duplicate contents.
For endusers if you want to restrict iviews for different users under the same role .In such scenario you need to create two roles for this requirement and you need to merge your worksets. Create a workset1 and assign iview1 iview2 iview3 and go to property editor of the workset and in MERGE ID filed give a name and save it and assign this to role 1. Create a workset and assign iview3 iview4 and go to property editor of the workset and in MERGE ID filed give a name(give the same name which you have given in for first workset) and save it and assign this to role2. Now assign roles to users as you like. if you assign Role1 to user1 you can see only workset 1(iview 1,2,3 only). if you assign role1 and role2 you can see both workset1 and workset 2 under one role.
