File based integration with third party ERP

Hello,

We have a potential customer project which would include integration with a third party (non-SAP) ERP.

The problem we are facing is that the local ERP does not support web services, thus we are unable to use the standard  interfaces provided by C4C.

The scenarios for the integration are:

1. 1.       Scheduled/automated delta upload of customers and products/material from the local ERP into C4C
2. 2.       Scheduled/automated delta download of opportunities and registered products from C4C to a FTP/WebDAV server

Since we can’t use web services then the integration would have to be made via flat files (XML/spreadsheet).

How can we achieve that?

My only idea for the upload of objects from ERP is expanding in SDK the object customer and product and adding a XML file input scenario. Can this be done for standard objects? Or is there some better way of achieving the requirement?

Unfortunately, we don’t have any idea for automating the export of data (point 2).

I’ve naturally seen the  “Integration Guide for Custom Data”, however, the description of  file based integration is quite poor.

Would be great if anybody could provide us some tips
